Shooting powder |
|
This is made entirely with alder buckthorn charcoal and looks rather like graphite. Our shooting powder is graded 1-5 under the European classification system, and 1Fg-4Fg using the Anglo-American scale.
These classes identify the dimensions and number of corns per gram (see table). It is crucial to choose the right type of gunpowder for best results. This powder is much sought for competitive target shooting because of its high, constant performance. The numerous world records obtained using our powders are testimony to their quality and performance.
Each batch of powder is quality-tested in a test gun. We carry out trial shoots, drawing up a trial protocol which includes, notably, the characteristics of the projectile used, its speed (VO), the powder charge, dispersal at target, granulometry, humidity level and gravimetric weight. Shooting Powder No. 1 is recommended for pistol shooting and the others for long guns. |
